2.2.0

Audio Graph & PropsAugust 9, 2026reconstructedThe free edition shipped this line as 2.2.1 on August 14, 2026.

New

  • The audio graph - channels, cues and clips as one map: the view that answers "what actually still uses this channel" without clicking through a list. Double-click a node to hear it. Third tab in the Audio Library, next to Cues and Channels.
  • Props in Pose Edit - drag a prefab from the Project window onto a bone and it hangs there: sword in the hand, shield on the back, so you pose the pose you actually ship. The assignment follows you to the next humanoid character, while a fit you adjusted stays with the character you adjusted it on. A chip appears in the scene HUD once a character has props; until then nothing changes.
  • Export Character as FBX - meshes, skinning, blendshapes and skeleton in one file that also opens outside Unity: for a character assembled at prefab level from several models, or a handover to Blender. Right-click a prefab ▸ Animation Workbench ▸ Export Character as FBX. Staying inside Unity, Pack Character is still the lossless route.
  • Import a folder of audio clips with a review step - point the Audio Library at a folder and confirm what becomes a cue before anything is written, instead of adopting the whole folder and cleaning up afterwards.
  • External audio sources - audio clips that live outside the project folder can be scanned and auditioned in place.

Improved

  • Audio Library: a pass over the whole window - cue browsing, clip adoption and the preview path.
